In the fall though spring, Joe guides primarily in the Moab area and during the summer, Joe guides primarily in the Seattle area. Joe guides for several reputable guiding companies. The Mountain Guides (aka Jackson Hole Mountain Guides (JHMG)) in the Moab area and other JMHG locations and Kaf Adventures in the Seattle area. In addition to guiding, Joe is an active member of the Aches and Canyonlands National Parks Search and Rescue Team and the Grand County Search and Rescue Team (Moab area). Joe enjoys connecting with clients early in the planning process to engage in shared decision making determine the best options for their climbing day(s). Climbing is a personal and multi-faceted experience that draws people in for different reasons. For example, some are looking for pure type 1 fun on beautiful iconic climbing objectives, some want to focus on learning / practicing technical skills (e.g., trad, multi-pitch, aid, self-rescue, crack). Some are looking to physically and mentally push out of their comfort zone, some are seeking particular mental benefits from climbing, some just want a good hang. Joe Lee was an excellent guide on a recent excursion my friends and I went on. We’re all experienced gym climbers who had never been to Moab or climbed outdoors. Joe was extremely knowledgeable and professional. The experience was a great chance for us to try a new type of climbing with proper and safe guidance while being taught tips and tricks to take with us on future trips. Joe even gave us local recommendations for anything from dinner to future climbing expeditions. We were all very pleased and would certainly use this service and Joe in the future. Thanks!

There is so much to do in Moab! With so many options, trip planing be a bit overwhelming. Joe can provide some recommendations based on first hand knowledge. In addition to climbing, he enjoys many Moab activities including: canyoneering; photography; hiking in Aches and Canyonlands National Parks; mountain biking; off roading; dirt biking; rafting; pack rafting; ice climbing; backcountry skiing, snowmobiling; horseback riding; and dining out.
